ABDUL JALIL ATTENDS THE COUNCIL OF AWAMI LEAGUE

Former general secretary of the Awami League Abdul Jalil joined the party council on Friday, reports bdnews24.com. Jalil came at 11am and sat on the stage. He also spoke to party president Sheikh Hasina. He was present when Syed Ashraful Islam, the new general secretary, was presenting the report of the general secretary. Jalil resigned from his post on Tuesday for ''not being allowed to discharge my duty for the upcoming council." Jalil was elected general secretary in the 19th council of the party in 2002.
